| We can mail your postcards and save you money on the postage, which will make our postcard mailing services just about free.
What it will cost you to do it yourself...
Normally your postage for a 4” x 6” postcard is 28 cents. That is the maximum size for the 28-cent rate. If we do the postcard mailing for you the postage will be anywhere from 15.5 cents to 22.0 cents per piece for a local "saturation" mailing.
Why?
First, our specialized software presorts all the addresses for delivery according to Post Office standards. In the process all undeliverable addresses are removed so that you don’t pay postage for cards that will inevitably be returned because of a bad address. Second, our software reads the addresses and assigns a delivery barcode to each address, and our production equipment prints the address with that barcode on each mail piece. By doing much of the Post Office’s work for them ahead of time, they give a postage discount that we pass on to our customers.
What you will save if we do it for you?
We charge you 5.9 cents per mail piece to process your mailing (depending on volume). This price includes processing the mailing list through our software, producing all reports required by the Post Office, addressing and barcoding the postcards, traying the mailing, and delivering the mailing to the Post Office. You save approximately 3 cents per card in postage because of this process. That means virtually no extra cost for you to let us do it for you, and sometimes it even costs you less. You are saving time, shipping charges, the cost of labels, and labor costs to manually affix the labels to the cards.
